Attitude

The atmosphere at the shop was tensed as I entered the shop to collect my Jacket. The owner was on the phone and was trying to handle her son deal with the situation rather than panicking. I choose to keep quiet till things cool down and from what I could analyses as a third party was that the lady would have to leave soon. She handed over the shop to whom she felt she could trust the most and left.

I was still quiet and observing the behavior of the staff around. They started gossiping about the incident and commenting on it. As if they had got a topic for general discussion.

Being silent observer my second observation was on their behavior, how does it change professionally. While they maintained their professional decorum but yes they did ease out. Probably they would have eased out even further had I not been there. Here came the learning and inspiration of the day.

Your real attitude is seen when there is no one observing you and monitoring you and not when you know they are people around to make judgments and perceptions on you.
