Before I start today's blog I want to thank my maternal grand father for introducing a good habit or rather a tradition at home that involved watching the republic day Parade with family. Grand mom would make it a sweet occasion by cooking sweet rice as part of breakfast, breakfast that was a feast to us and that also ensured that ladies of the house got free in time to join the celebration.
Good habits like these go a long way in the personality development of a child. Take few minutes every now and then to have healthy conversations at home. First step to being a responsible citizen is to understand what made our country and how did we reach till here. Our children need to see Patriotism beyond the flag, the songs, the tricolor and the dresses.
The now citizens of India need to contribute equally to the growth and the sacrifice of our freedom fighters by ensuring law and compliance. Things that come easy to us today are a resultant of hard work of many. Even though only few amongst the million get recognized, each one of these millions live with self respect and satisfaction each day of their lives.
You create the country you live in and are responsible for it. Effectiveness of cleanliness campaign, promoting literacy, optimum utilization of resources and more than anything else, treating each other as humans and respecting each other's thought process is what will make us a responsible citizen of free India and it's constitution.
JAI HIND!!
P.S: Totally inspired by republic day Parade.
