Happy Republic day to All,

The day starts from a ritual that is being followed since many years, as early as my last memories of childhood. Watching the parade on TV sitting together with family and enjoying some sweet dish. Miss you nana ji, you were the one who always bought the family together and we would keep practicing the Ritual for as long as possible. The day was followed by a function at society, a simple question which the host asked was ” do you know why we celebrate this day” kids today didn’t know the answer, they didn’t have the basic knowledge of our country and it was rather shocking that they knew TV shows and its tag lines better than general knowledge. Be it Kapil Tag line or Guthi’s Introduction. While many of you must just be smiling reading this, but I had a concern the moment I witnessed this. What is it that we are giving to the next generation as a base. The generation which is supposedly to take us ahead and add on to hardship. When we are not holding ourselves responsible for what they view and learn today, is it right to expect them to be the leaders?

Before writing my blog for today, I myself wanted to revise the meaning of constitution and hence used the modern time Birbal “Google” . from the different meanings that I read this is what I could extract and register. “The act or process of composing, setting up, or establishing” while we all are ready to point finger on the constitution of our country at all points of time. Have we ever designed the constituton in our family? Have we ever lead by example. Do we have a constitution for self?

What is it that we live every day? What is it that we practice and when we don’t have control over selves and our respective families, who gives us the right to question others.
