Sounds like something new? So was it for me, I got introduced to this term while reading a book and found it totally relatable. Have you observed yourself being more exhausted on days where you were involved in multiple discussions that involved decision making? that’s how your work day would look like as you grow up the ladder, the next very obvious question is, “how can I manage it?”
Starting your day pre planned makes a lot of difference, don’t wake up to decide what to wear? What to eat? Keep choices limited and plan for as many daily activities you can. Having a routine helps. At work don’t just make a things to do list, make a priority list and assign a timeline. Don’t use your notebook as a dump yard for brain. Understand the time limitations that you have and plan your day accordingly, a rolling over things to do list causes more stress than pending work itself. Before you know decision fatigue will soon lead to decision avoidance and you will find yourself wasting time in irrelevant things. That’s one of the reasons why people get addicted to social media, bing watching etc.
Would be happy to hear from you on today’s short blog
