This blog is dedicated to Devyani my friend, whom I met on one of the IndiGo flights for first time when she was travelling with her sweet daughter. We decided to meet during my vacations in Mumbai.
While she reached earlier and had to wait we reached later. We(Mom my aunt and me) entered the coffee shop and I called her to confirm where she was. It was definitely a pleasant surprise to see her but something that caught my attention was her behavior towards the staff of the coffee shop and the way they greeted her. The surprise continued as we entered a restaurant and booked a table for four as we return back in a while.
I couldn’t myself from asking her and said” everyone around here knows you so well” how is it so.
The simple reply that she gave was supporting to what I believed and practice, but not as religiously as she does. She said “I just treat them as they exist here” it was a strong statement and had a stronger message for people out in society. We often forget to treat each other as humans and don’t express the basic courtesy which everyone deserves. Acknowledge people around you and their existence, there is no better way to make person smile and touch a heart.
