I was little surprised to see a man holding his ears and doing sit up’s in front of the idol in temple, I wonder why was he doing so, was he asking for forgiveness for his sins? While I felt it was easy for him to do so now, did he even think for once before performing all those acts that hurt others. I don’t blame him for any of the acts that may have hurt others un-intentionally but was he conscious enough of all his acts before performing them is my question. The same applies to all of us. I have spoken about forgiveness in one of my blog’s earlier and also said that we should have the courage to ask for apologies but above all this are we present enough in the current moment to realize what are the acts that might cause an adverse effect to others. Do we put a second thought to any of our actions that might affect others.
Asking for forgiveness is just acknowledging the harm that we have caused to others and though it reflects certain sense of maturity in us, but asking for forgiveness very frequently only reflects that we are not responsible enough to have control over our actions at the very first place, Apology is just a service recovery equivalent to the action of gathering the spilled milk.
Consciousness and act of responsibility is something we all should practice at all points of time
