A simple conversation lead to an interesting discussion and then became the inspiration to write todays blog. I was discussing lifestyles with my cousin and the changes that have come in them over the generations, then we discussed how people are so busy in their daily workaholic schedules that they don’t even have time to eat food on time. this must be the case for most of us, we get so engrossed in work that we don’t even realize that we are contradicting our own desires for which we started working. Everyone has one desire that is common, “it is a healthy life style”. So what does a healthy life style include? It might have different meanings for different individuals but one thing they would commonly share is eating good food, so why is it that we forget our basic necessity in the run of earning money, what do we keep struggling for if we can’t even spare time for basic necessities. Similarly most of us don’t realize that we hardly spend quality time with the luxuries we keep working for. In the urge of earning well people start staying out of the sweet home for longer intervals for which they actually started focusing on their career, similarly the luxury car at your door step is mostly driven by your driver, the smooth test drive that you enjoyed was for you or your driver? The clothes that you often but the moment you step out and never look back to them in your closet were to be worn or to be left to make a new mini market at your room step?
If you look back in your daily routine you would realize all that were once your desires and for which you wanted to work hard are of no value to you any more for even if you possess them you don’t live them. Then what is it that you keep running for? What is it that would actually give you satisfaction and make you feel rich? There are only few things that you earn with lot of hard work and thoroughly enjoy too, it is the peace of mind, it is the sense of accomplishment, it is the inner happiness that stays on your face with a lovely smile.
