We have always heard people saying, traveling is very important to keep learning and people who travel a lot are assume to be wiser, why is use the term assume is because its up to persons own choice to learn from situation or just choose to live it like any other normal day. Travelling doesn’t really mean going out of the state or country, yes of course the kind of learning’s you would get from long distance travels are not comparable to short journeys but big or small learning takes you a step ahead in life.
We often get inspired by the young and energetic, people from our own age group or some time s younger, few elderly who inspire us would be the big shots who have earned fame but something what has been inspiring me for quiet sometime is old age. Yes the very elderlies who lead a simple life. I don’t fear to be old now and neither do I fear being alone in my old age. Here come few incidents that built in this confidence in me.
Nana Ji you would always be the source of inspiration, your spirit to enjoy every festival and remember every special day of all family members, you live in heart and would be there forever.
It was my flight to Chennai where I met this lovely beautiful gracious friend of Mine “Janky Aunty”, it was commendable the way she carried herself so perfectly well and was dressed up with lovely bright Saree, her words were as sweet as her personality, her politeness spoke about the calmness she carried, the peace of mind reflected on her face, to my surprise at age past 75 she was living on her own and loved to take care of herself. She never hesitates to try new things, accompanying her children to functions, making friends with people her grandchildren age and is ever excited to travel. Love You Aunty you have taught me there is no age bar to living.
Other few incidents include group of old ladies travelling in metro, they must be in their past 65’s but the friendship that they carried taught there is no age to make friends. The many elderlies whom I see travelling alone at airports conveys a very simple message life never stops, unless you put a comma to it.
I wish that I grow old this beautifully.
