Responsibility of stronger

They were some old passengers on my flight yesterday, who needed assistance with wheelchair, guardians accompanying them got conscious seeing few passengers waiting behind, and I was one of them who was waiting. The lady apologized for the inconvenience and got hassled to make way for me to which I said its absolutely fine, I am in no hurry please assist the elderly first. Long time back a similar incident happened when a differently abled passenger was walking slowly through aerobridge and got little embarrassed seeing people waiting behind him. These two incidents sent across a strong message which speaks about the responsibility of people who are stronger or are privileged to be abled.

While the stronger ones may have a choice to move ahead but the ones who are responsible should rather stay back to assist or walk along with the weaker ones to motivate them and display sense of equality. Competition should be amongst the ones who are equally privileged. While you may be strong you might come across as weakly responsible for the attitude that you display. Few moments of grace spent with under privileged would only teach you to be patient and give you a break from the hush that you are always in.
