"I will leave it up to my Child to pick his field of education and career or define his life." even if you mean to do so, the truth is that you are constantly involved in shaping your Child's life.
You started shaping your child's life right from when he was in Mother's womb. I truly strongly believe in concept of Garbh Sanskar. After She was born, you started shaping her life further with the exposure you gave her. Child constantly learns from you, the way you handle situations, the way you react/ respond, the problem solving skills you demonstrate and the emotions you display. If you give up on things easily, you will see your Child replicating the same. If you show management skills in day to day life you would see your Child displaying the same at a very young age. If you introduced him to hobbies that you have he is more likely to pick the same/ similar one.
Remember to look at yourself before you provide guidance to your Child. The truth is that you are constantly involved in making your child a better version of you.
