I have been thinking of this for quiet long and first realized it during a generic conversation few days beck, when I was testing my memory and checking how many phone numbers do I actually remember. During child hood days I would remember as many as 50-60 phone numbers by heart, but with mobile coming slowly this reduced to lesser numbers and now limited to few essentially important numbers of family and friends, this too is limited to the numbers we frequently dial or see. Rotes in mind have been replaced by Google maps, birthday reminders that struck our minds every now and then are now on snooze and are replaced by application alerts. Beautiful moments of life are now captured through digital cameras and stowed in one drive after the other which are never dug back to have look on, while the limited photographs had there essence earlier. While the various social apps have got you near to millions but you hardly find time for your own dear ones. Time that was spent talking to each other face to face is now replaced by face time, meeting have got restricted to video chats. Expression limited to emoticons, word of love to short abbreviations.
I wonder technology was launched to bring out the best and reduce efforts or to put the best on rest and affections on test.
