Did you thank enough?

It was indeed a hot afternoon, though a little better from the previous day rain but definitely troublesome enough to stand in sun for long, I was waiting for an auto which finally came after I had halted at a place for few minutes and then decided to walk by to start covering the distance. He brought me back home and I expressed my gratitude to him by saying thank you after giving his bill amount. There was nothing great about the incident, right? It seems the same way round for many of us, but the inspiration that lied behind means a lot. There was a reason for which I thanked him, and the reason was his choice, he had a choice to not lend his auto to go for a short distance, he probably had many other choices too which I am unaware of but it was his choice that saved me from waiting in sun for long.  Whenever you adopt a third party service or you ask others for smallest of favors don’t forget they always have a choice, a choice to dis-agree to your wish, a choice to choose something over your demand. This also applies to all relations that you share, be it your, parents, siblings, friends, colleagues or any other relatives. Do not forget to thank them for the choice that they made in your favor to make life a little simpler for you or to add a smile to your face.

Expressing gratitude is the least you can do in exchange of their choice.
