(W)here are your golden days.

This thought has been haunting my mind for quite some days now before I finally decide to pen it down. At the very beginning of the blog I would like to confess that these thoughts came across as inspiration from the random conversations that I had with few of my acquaintances at different times.

A few days back, I observed that it was raining when I stepped out of my office, while I saw few of my colleagues waiting back near the exit, I chose to move ahead as the rain wasn’t very heavy. It is then when a thought crossed my mind; when we were kids, most of us would find reasons to step out in rain than finding reasons to stay away from it. As kids we would also find reasons to go ahead and play new games, we wouldn’t think twice before making new friends, we were never afraid of risks that were involved in trying new games which included physical activities, that might also end up resulting in us hurting ourselves by toppling. Competition that we had with our friends was based more on our stamina and was less of a mind game, the time we spared out, in-spite of 8 hours of school was our ME time J. We were less, or should I say least bothered of what was happening in others life, we never wasted our time commenting on others life, and thinking as to what people around think about us? having been said that, most of us would have always been concerned if one of our friends went missing for long interval, or if we ever knew that our friend was in trouble. As we started growing, we just kept increasing the complexities in our mind with an indefinite chain of what if scenarios, and adding why me? to it. We lost the spirit of I would try this first. We valued our present the most when we were a kid, we often subconsciously lived the spirit of forget, forgive and move on.

Did we turn out this way subconsciously? Why is it that we miss those days and always refer to them as golden days? Has anyone stopped us from living them today? Who is responsible for what we face today?

I hope we wake up tomorrow to realize, that these days are still in our hands, yes our responsibilities might have increased today, but we shouldn’t let the positive spirit die. After all life is about balancing our tasks. Its only if we start living the right spirit again, would we realize that we don’t really need the support of social media to search for fake happiness and peace of mind, by just seeing how much attention do we derive from our individual accounts.

Let’s start living the life that we lived the most. All the best !!
