Roaming in the streets of Bangkok as I looked at my watch I realised its time to move towards my hotel, the shops around were closing, the street walkers suddenly were not be seen and the traffic at road was jam packed as any metro city in India would have been at the office closing hours. There was much of comparison then learning I would say, but yes there was an urge that I wish people in India also understand things this way and what inspires me to right this blog is the thought that even if one of us manages to pas on the message, may be sometime somewhere we can make a difference.
Being in an unknown place for first time in life, I felt safer then being in my hometown. Though there was language barrier in terms of the language we spoke, but people out there had positive body language and welcomed queries with smile. Every direction that I seked was either answered or passed on to a person who could understand what I spoke and my first point of contact would ensure that I get the query solved, unlike India where most of the time people would mis guide tourist or leave them in a condition that they would feel pity on. Religious believes and rituals were more to follow then to show case.
They were many lesons that I just understood and would fail to express in words, but one thing that struck my mind was my own statement, when I said” O God I am lost” and I reconsidered what I said and confessed to self that this statement is ironical, how can I be lost when I had known no way in Bangkok, how can a person ever bbe lost when he has no direction. So here comes the learning my friend, next time when you feel lost in life, look at the positive side of it, you do have a direction in mind which you aint being able to follow, so just a little concentration on it and you would be back on track.
Its good to be lost to find your ways, isnt it? :)
