I remember writing a blog on basic necessities long time back, but last night’s incident inspired me to define the simplicity of life. Many of us commonly say that we believe in simple lifestyle and live the same. We don’t run for luxuries always but almost entire Delhi and NCR and the people living at homes faced challenge of non-availability of electricity and were taken aback strongly because of one factor that was away from their life. I was surprised to notice that how and when did my simplicity of living life reach next level and things that were luxury suddenly became necessity. I remember the days when I would not get bothered even when I had to sleep under the fan in peak summers, which slowly moved a step ahead to sleeping in front of Air coolers until last year when I conditioned my body to Air conditioners and why not make our life’s simple when we can afford something, this must be the thought that must be crossing through your mind right? Of course there is no harm in it, but what I am trying to make you realize is that we are not conscious of the change that we keep adding to our lives in the name of comfort and affordability. We seldom realize that we have grown our standards to luxuries and the addiction of it has become our basic necessity. While we enjoy most of it but we never pay attention to the minutest of need of the people out there who’s luxury is to have all 3 meals for the day, mere shade of tree or any roof in summer is luxury to them in summers and rains. We all notice it, few of us ignore it, few pity them, but my question to you is again the same like yesterday my well educated friends. What is it that you are doing to make the change? Where do you as a person lose your capability to make a positive change in just one person’s life.
Yes I want you to think about it, and when you realize that you are tired of thinking, please have the guts to take some action. All your education is waste if you can’t brighten up at least one under privileged life.

simplicity defined in your standards
