The Gurudwara becomes a source of inspiration for today blog yet again. A healthy habit of providing service is slowly becoming a routine to my weekend visits to Gurudwara. I felt upset when I reached little late and saw that holy kitchen was close to accept services. The thought of incomplete routine kept my mind engaged and somehow kept me restless. Hence I decided to offer services post completing the prayers. I selected shoe storage hall as my place to offer services today. While I thought it was just a small task my illusion broke soon immediately after I placed the first pair of shoes in the rack. I had to strain my mind to think from whom did I collect the shoes? to my good luck the person himself extended his hand to take the token. Now started the series of multi tasking, I had to memorise empty space in order to cut down the waiting time of devotee standing there for token. I had to memorize the devotee from whom I collected the shoes, keep the track of numbers and shelves and yes, remember to stand back in Que. Being honest, I did mistake twice but was forgiven with a smile. The third mis coordination that happened was out of my control, while I kept thinking of it, but couldnt really find the solution hence I approached a senior citizen who looked friendly and explained him the situation. He assisted me to the responsible person who could look into the concern we somehow managed to settle the issue temporarily. I just hope shoe reaches the right owner.
The lesson from the entire incident was clear. No matter how small a job seems, each of it requires skill and the will to perform it with perfection.
