While I mentioned that we needn’t be to attached to anything in life and maintain a subtle balance of needs against addiction, we need to define the fine line that divides this.
We may come across cases where in we might take our carelessness as the balance that we maintain against endearment.
One simple incident taught me so; I maintain records of my writings and they are often on the last pages of the note book that I use. I lost the book that has few of my poems written and got really upset. One way to satisfy myself and not feel too bad was that I don’t get attached to my writings but the truth was that I would never be able to write the same poem again and would fail to give the same composition.
It gave a very important message that not having endearment to a substance is not justification to carelessness. It’s important to value humans/things around us and be aware of not making them our addiction.
