Let me confess that it was a bit difficult for me to arrive at the topic of the day, I had two things running in my mind but I didn’t really know how to phrase either one well. I shared my problem with my friend who suggested me to close my eyes and think what inspired me the most today and write on it, it was a good idea but then I continued to write with open eyes without really thinking as to what did I actually want to pen down and this is what I have to share today.
What is it that we carry every day? what is it that defines us? What builds up the confidence in us? How important is it for us to carry ourselves well and how do we actually define it. I had once written on marketing and presentation in my earlier blog few months ago and todays blog is a continuation to it, while the idea of it started with one of the activity of the day “that is shopping” but is now mixed with a learning that I observed while I was in Gurudwara, I saw a little girl dressed in a green suit walking with her parents, her mother was teaching her how to carry herself and perform the rituals. I strongly felt what we always say, that our parents inculcate good habits in us and design our future, they are the one who take our steps ahead to the right path. Our first dress was first selected by them, our thoughts were designed by them, our questions were answered by them. They were the ones who made us presentable and grow us to what we are today. They built in us the attitude that we carry today.
How often do we get back to them and express gratitude for the small things they keep doing? We don’t even realize but it’s those little things that made a difference to our lives, they don’t ask for acknowledgment of what they have done, but they truly deserve to be thanked for it, for if they wanted to they had a choice to leave you alone with unanswered questions, with confused thoughts and an attitude that we could have never built. Clothes are something we carry on selves every day but attitude is what we live with to conquer the world.
