Wish you all a very happy women's day, these wishes are for all the wonderful ladies out there who make lives easy for at least one person on earth and to those adorable men who acknowledge women of their lives and stand by them, be it their grandmother, mother, sister, wife, special friend or daughter.
I woke up to see few messages from lovely ladies in my life and read there wishes for women's day. So I started my day by wishing lovely ladies in my life at home and others whom I know directly or indirectly. While I was sending these messages one of my friend asked me why do we celebrate women day only and not men’s day, to which other friend of mine reverted in group saying every day is a mens day. Both the statements were equally thoughtful.
Let me pay insight to second statement first, my friend wouldn't have even realised what was the message that he conveyed unwillingly, it was that of the world being a men dominated place and only them being in power. He also subconsciously answered the question that my first friend asked, but I would still want to reply to it, we celebrate women's day to remind all the men how important it is to have women around us in various relations that we live during our lives. How it is the team of men and women together that makes world a better place to live. The day is celebrated to convey a message that you should acknowledge the presence of a women in your life more often and stand by them as they stand by you. There is a need for men to set examples of being and stand by their women and make life easier for them, emotionally more than financially.
The day when we reach the levels of equality for men and women in terms of rights, gender ratio, security and freedom there wouldn't really be a need of celebrating just a women's day. From that day onwards we would start celebrating the success of this wonderful team who has mutual respect, love and understanding for each other. The day when care would mean the same for both men and women.
